Planning Approval to Build a Contemporary Country Mansion in the Surrey Green Belt
Dyer Grimes Architecture has obtained planning approval to demolish an existing property and replace it with a contemporary new build in the heart of the Surrey Green Belt – one of the most difficult locations in the country to gain planning approval.
By demolishing the current sprawl of low quality mish-mash of buildings that occupy the site and replacing them with a single, high quality house with a unified aesthetic, the appearance of the land will be greatly improved and, despite its significant size, the new house won’t appear to be materially larger due to its consolidated structure.
The total floor area of the proposed design is an impressive 886 square metres, within which will be five en-suite bedrooms, a gym, cinema room, dining room, games room, open plan kitchen and living space and a three-car garage. Improvements to the grounds – which include a swimming pool, pond and tennis court – are also included.
