Planning Approval to Extend House on Randolph Avenue, Maida Vale

Friday, December 1, 2017

Dyer Grimes Architecture has obtained planning approval and conservation area consent to refurbish and extend a semi-detached house in the Maida Vale Conservation Area.

The house sits on a street with a distinct and consistent architectural style throughout, which is enjoyed by many thanks to the presence of Maida Vale tube station. It is one of the most fiercely protected roads in the conservation area, but due to the sensitivity and quality of our design, Westminster City Council approved of our plans.

A lower ground floor extension will provide around 17sqm of new floor area which will be complemented with intelligent reconfiguration of the internal layout, making space for new kitchen, living room and games room. Habitable roof space will also be provided with the addition of a dormer extension.
