Planning Approval in Caterham

Tuesday, February 23, 2016

Dyer Grimes Architecture has planning approval in Caterham.

We’re delighted to have been granted planning permission by Tandridge District Council, Surrey, to proceed with the demolition of existing two storey side extensions and garage to facilitate the construction of a new two storey side extension and single storey rear extension.

The house in not located in a conservation area but is subject to Harestone Valley Design Guidance, a set of planning principles that aim to preserve the area’s character and heritage.

Matching brickwork, white render and black timber will ensure than the new spaces perfectly blend with the existing Edwardian structure. Despite a 40% increase in floor space, it will be hard to tell that the building was ever changed from the outside.
