Planning approval in Wimbledon

Dyer Grimes Architecture has planning approval in Wimbledon.

After an application that was controversial with locals and councillors alike, we’re delighted to have been granted planning permission by Merton council to build one of the few ultra modernist homes in Wimbledon.

Our client had been living in a bungalow in the Wimbledon Conservation Area for 40 years. She wanted to replace it with a state of the art home for her family but any plans would come under close scrutiny due to the status of the area and the number of trees on site.

The 4,000 square foot design was met with intensely divided reactions but after a heated committee meeting with a split vote, we managed to argue the worth of this super sustainable Code 5 home and achieved permission.
