Planning approval in Wimbledon

Friday, March 28, 2014

Dyer Grimes Architecture has planning approved in Wimbledon.

We’re delighted to have been granted planning permission by Merton council to proceed with the construction of a Victorian style, red brick 5,000 sqft six bedroom house.

The designs require the existing building to be demolished. It was neither listed or in a conservation area, but Merton council did have concerns about local impact. By submitting a design that was not only a match to the local style but an improvement on the prior dwelling, they were happy to grant approval.

The new build will be far better suited to the demands of modern life, with generous space, a large basement and an energy efficient design that significantly improves sustainability.
