Planning Approval in Richmond to Demolish Separate Garage and Replace with Contemporary Extension

Monday, September 4, 2017

Dyer Grimes Architecture has obtained planning approval to demolish a single storey separate garage and use the space for a contemporary rear and side extension.

While demolition works can occasionally cause difficulties in planning, Richmond Borough Council was happy to see the space taken up by the garage put to better use with an extension that will significantly improve the liveability of the Pensford Avenue house.

The new extension will be built in a contemporary design with floor-to-ceiling glass doors opening into the garden, creating a feeling of unified indoor-outdoor space between the open plan kitchen and living area and the garden.
