Planning Approval in Barnes

Monday, March 30, 2015

Dyer Grimes Architecture has planning approval in Barnes.

We’re delighted to have been granted planning permission by Richmond council to proceed with the demolition of a detached house in Barnes to facilitate the construction of a new, two storey family home.

Richmond is a notoriously difficult borough for demolition approvals but the council was happy to oblige due to the existing dwelling’s lack of architectural merit and poor energy performance which would be difficult, if not impossible, to bring up to modern standards.

The new build will incorporate the design and materials typical of the surrounding area, making a positive contribution to the streetscape with a modern, efficient and spacious family home. Code for Sustainable Homes Level 3 will be met or exceeded throughout.
