Planning approval in St. John’s Wood

Monday, June 30, 2014

Dyer Grimes Architecture has planning approval in St. John’s Wood.

We’re delighted to have been granted planning permission by Westminster council to proceed with the development of a significant basement extension to a Building of Townscape Merit in Alma Square, St. John’s Wood.

Despite being in a conservation area, Westminster council approved the development due to similar basement extensions elsewhere in Alma Square and a design that had minimal impact on the streetscape and neighbour amenity while still enhancing the quality of the structure.

The new space will provide the owners with an ensuite bedroom and gym and allows for alterations elsewhere in the house for an open plan kitchen and external terrace.
