Planning Permission for Listed 19th Century Gothic Villa in St. John’s Wood

Thursday, November 1, 2018

Dyer Grimes Architecture is delighted to announce that we have been granted planning permission by Westminster City Council to renovate a detached 19th century gothic villa in St. John’s Wood.

Due to its striking architectural style and Grade II listed status, we sought the advice of historic building consultants at Montagu Evans to ensure our designs could strike the balance between achieving our client’s objectives while preserving the house’s historic character.

Our most significant change is the lowering of the ground level of the garden and studio extension so that it sits flush with the rest of the lower ground floor. We will also be installing a lift so that our client can comfortable enjoy the house in later life.
