Grove Park House

DGA are delighted to announce that we have been granted planning permission in Grove Park for a contemporary extension to a Grade II listed house. The house was originally built in 1820 as part of thew Grove Park Estate, developed by the Duke of Devonshire.

We received planning permission from Hounslow Council on the strength of our design, our respect for the site's history and our portfolio of award- winning listed restorations. Our proposal is to construct a contemporary, part single part two storey glazed extension to the rear of the property to provide additional living accommodation at the lower and upper ground floors and create a new circulation route.

The extension will include high quality metal framed doors and cladding in a bronze finish to complement the existing brickwork, which is to be retained as a backdrop to the new extension. Our team designed the lightweight, glazed "box" to help distinguish between the old and the new and also allow the majority of the rear elevation of the original building to remain visible. This has proved to be a winning planning strategy across many of our listed projects.
