DyerGrimes Architecture are a leading high-end residential Architectural and Interiors Design practice in South West London, who have achieved the Sunday Times Best Family Home award two years running and have moved into brand new offices overlooking the river at Wandsworth. We have recently won some fantastic new commissions and are looking to grow our team with a number of different positions. We are an award winning practice and as such have high standards of design and presentation.

Associate / Project Architect (5 years minimum experience)

Essential skills:

  • Passionate about Design
  • 5 years minimum experience in high end residential new build houses and period refurbishment projects for private clients.
  • excellent Vectorworks skills 2016
  • excellent 3D modelling skills- Sketchup and 3D rendering skills- V-ray
  • excellent Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign skills
  • creatively conceptually strong with an enthusiasm for construction detail
  • advanced knowledge of planning and construction regulations
  • positive, out-going, strong communicator with excellent staff management and client handling skills and sense of humour.
  • thrive in a fast paced working environment, to tight deadlines with a great attitude.
  • Fluent in English, verbal and written

Part II Architectural Designer (3 years minimum experience)

DyerGrimes Architects are recruiting for an Architectural Designer to join us. Working closely with the head of Creative design you will have full responsibility for designing new houses and extensions to period properties. You will deal with the client directly throughout the planning and design stages as well as liaising with the internal and external construction professionals and interior designers. It will be your responsibility to prepare drawings, plans and documents for all planning applications and obtain relevant permissions.

Part I Architectural Assistant / Visualiser (2 years minimum experience)

DyerGrimes Architecture is currently seeking a qualified Part I/ Visualiser, to predominantly work alongside our Design Director & Associates - assisting in the design process - creating Sketch-up models, physical models, assisting in preparing for presentations to clients and bid for prospective work. We are looking for individuals who are self-motivated, enthusiastic, an eye for detail and exceptional design skill. Interior Designer (5 years minimum experience)

DyerGrimes Architecture is seeking a high calibre Interior designer , you will be working directly with our private clients on their homes. The successful candidate will be both an independent problem solver, as well as a proven team player when it comes to getting the job done. We’re looking for an individual who takes details and aesthetics seriously, and is interested in taking on the most challenging and rewarding projects.

 

Responsibilities:

  • developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements in detail with clients and setting project schedules
  • understanding clients' needs, developing design concepts in consultation with the client and establishing final briefs
  • researching and gathering information and photographs relating to the project
  • conducting feasibility studies for projects
  • preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes, using Vectorworks software
  • supervising work at the design stage and on site
  • producing sample or mood boards for presentation to clients
  • sourcing products, eg furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration, and providing samples for clients

 

Essential skills:

  • 5 years minimum experience in high end residential new build houses and period refurbishment projects for private clients.
  • good knowledge of full set drawings including tender, construction and detail
  • highly attentive to detail
  • well-organised and reliable
  • good time-management and project-juggling skills
  • able to design, produce details and working drawings
  • fluent in English, verbal and written
  • high-level proficiency of Vectorworks a must, good command of Adobe Suite and free hand sketches will be considered a definite advantage
  • candidates with less working experience may be considered as assistant interior designer
